LAS VEGAS — Fort Dodge state medalists Dreshaun Ross and Knox Ayala both placed in the Top-5 at the United States Open Wrestling Championships in the Expo at World Market Center on Sunday. Ross, a four-time Dodger state champion and an Oklahoma State University recruit, was edged by Iowa State commit Coby Merrill in the U20 freestyle finals at 125 kg. MASON CITY — The Fort Dodge boys track and field team competed here Monday night at the Dave Long Relays hosted by Mason City. Junior Jayce Point won the 800-meter run, and the Dodgers finished first in two relays. Point went 2:09.47, topping teammate Cael Hansen in the two-lap event.
