KYL to hold children’s events

WEBSTER CITY — Kendall Young Library Children’s Department will hold a variety of events in March. Weekly Programs LEGO Build (Children’s Department) — Each Monday from 3:30-4:30 p.m. throughout March there is the opportunity for kids to test their building skills. First Covenant Church, 201 Ave. H, will hold a parenting class entitled “Restoring and Maintaining Good Relationships With Our Children” at 6:30 p.m. on March 22. Books & Bourbon Silent Book Club — Kendall Young Library will host a Silent Book Club at Seneca Street Saloon, 919 Seneca St. Please note the new location. KC fish fry is Friday

The Knights of Columbus will hold a fish fry from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Holy Trinity Parish Center, 402 N. Eighth St. The menu includes fried fish, baked fish, shrimp, or combo and grill cheese sandwiches, served with baked potato or french fries, coleslaw, roll, ice cream, coffee and lemonade. Dine in or carry out is available. The cost is $13 for fish or shrimp, $15 for combo, $7 for grilled cheese and $7 for kids ages 12 and under.

The Blanden Memorial Art Museum

Children from around the Fort Dodge area have a chance to experience water color art at its finest courtesy of the Blanden Memorial Art Museum. According to Art Educator and Assistant Director Angela Ayala, a watercolor workshop is scheduled for 9 to 10:30 a.m. March 21 at the museum’s education center, 224 S. Eighth St. Cost is $10. WEBSTER CITY — Kendall Young Library will host variety of Teen events throughout March. Teen Lounge — Patrons in sixth through 12th grades are invited from 3:30 to 5 p.m. each Tuesday in March. Due to early outs and spring break, Teen Lounge will also happen March 17, 24, and 31. Join us weekly for special activities, video games, snacks, crafts, board games, and more.
