KYL to hold teen events

WEBSTER CITY — Kendall Young Library will hold a variety of teen events throughout the summer. Teen Summer Reading Program — Patrons entering sixth through 12th grades are invited to join in a variety of “Plant a seed, Read” summer programs. Karl L. King Band celebrates America’s 250th birthday

The Sunday evening, concert by the Karl L. King Municipal Band will celebrate America’s 250th birthday at the Karl L. King Band Shell in Oleson Park, located in the southeastern part of the City of Fort Dodge. Concert time is 7:30 p.m. Coming just a day after the July 4th Independence Day holiday, it promises to be a perfect way to celebrate a long weekend of once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Vacation Bible school is July 14-17

St. Olaf Lutheran Church and Grace Lutheran Church are partnering to hold vacation Bible school from 9 a.m. to noon July 14-17 for ages 6 to 12 years old. The theme is “Lego and Trust God.” There will be an Option Fellowship Camp until 3 p.m. on July 14 and 16. Lunch will be provided to those staying. June 17 will end at 12 p.m. with a block party. Family members are invited to attend. The cost is by freewill donation. It is being held at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, 239 N. 11th St.
