CLARION — The St. Edmond girls track and field team scored eight Top-4 finishes here Tuesday night at the Cowgirl Relays hosted by Clarion-Goldfield/Dows. Grace Schlegel led the way for the Gaels with two of those top finishes, as she won the 3,000 and was the runner-up in the 1,500. The Gaels shot a 176, besting the Jaguars by 14 strokes. “It was good to come out and post a nice score on a perfect day,” SEHS head coach Matt Dillon said. “There was some wind to adjust to, but the kids did a great job.” Jack McElroy was medalist, as the senior fired a 38. DES MOINES — The Fort Dodge boys tennis team earned their first victory of the season on Tuesday night. The Dodgers (1-3 overall) beat Des Moines East (0-4), 10-1. Fort Dodge won five of the singles matches and swept in doubles.
