St. Edmond girls handle Nevada

The St. Edmond girls tennis team finally got back on the courts here Thursday, topping Nevada, 8-1.

Lauren Gibb, Payton Bradley, Ava Andrew, Cambree Lunn and Ava Underberg posted singles wins. Gibb and Bradley, Andrew and Lunn, and Underberg and Chloe Palmer were victorious in doubles.

“The girls took care of business,” SEHS head coach Shawn Neverman said. “We haven’t had a meet in over a week due to the weather, so we have been working on different things in practice.

“The girls showed those things off.”

St. Edmond (5-0 overall) returns to action Friday at South Hardin.

Earning junior varsity wins in doubles were Lucy Midtling and Nina Smith, Sophia Dutcher and Ella Mundie, and Braelynn Rees and Lizzy Tiernan.
