Impressive road victories for FD Stags
WEST DES MOINES — The Fort Dodge Stags earned two wins over traditional rugby powers on Friday at the West Des Moines Shootout.
The Stags took down West Des Moines Valley by a final of 29-10, and Southeast Polk, 12-7.
Seniors Bo Cowell and Ty Adams, juniors Gavin Pederson and Quintin Jaeschke, sophomore Jesse Egli all converted tries in the rout of Valley. Junior Carlos Elias made good on 3 of 5 conversion attempts.
Egli and senior Drayton Miller had tries in the win over SEP.
Fort Dodge returns to action at Ames on Friday. The Stags face Iowa City West at 6:50 p.m. and Ankeny Centennial at 8:30 p.m.
