The Fort Dodge boys soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to undefeated Humboldt on Monday inside Dodger Stadium.

Humboldt moved to 6-0 overall, while FDSH fell to 1-5.

“We played well and Fort Dodge is a solid squad — difficult to breakdown,” said HHS head coach Joe Hadar. “Our set pieces are working well both attacking and defending.

“We keep working on moving the ball better. It’s coming along.”

The Wildcats built a 2-0 halftime lead and tacked on a goal in the second half.

Cristhian Ramirez had a hat track for the Wildcats. Ramirez now has 78 career goals.

“(Ramirez) carried the load, but with some nice assists from teammates,” Hadar said. “We need to win on the road and at home to keep pace with Webster City.

“They’re top of the (North Central Conference), so we are trying to keep up. (The Lynx) are special this year.”

Ramirez has recorded two hat tricks and a haul already this season, while scoring multiple goals in five of the six matches.

Carter Westre, John Gasca and Antonio Vicario had the assists on Monday against FDSH.

Humboldt has now won four in a row against the Dodgers.

The Wildcats will travel to Iowa Falls-Alden on Thursday and will host fourth-ranked Webster City on Friday.

The Dodgers are back in action on Tuesday at home again when they take on Des Moines Roosevelt. Junior varsity starts at 6 p.m. with varsity to follow at 7:30 p.m.

The Humboldt girls also came out victorious on Monday, blanking the Dodgers by a final of 3-0.
