Dodgers drop 4-1 decision
COLFAX — The Fort Dodge girls soccer team dropped a 4-1 decision to 15th-ranked Colfax-Mingo on Thursday night.
The Dodgers (1-3 overall) couldn’t slow the unbeaten Tigerhawks (3-0).
“We just didn’t have the energy we needed for a (road match),” said FDSH head coach G Myers. “It was a little warmer and we just had to play through that.
“It was a hard-fought game.”
The Dodgers did see the return of junior all-conference player Addie Lentsch, who came back from an injury. Lentsch scored the lone goal for the Dodgers.
Sophomore Meadow Lane had a hat trick for the Tigerhawks. She now has eight goals on the season and 52 in her career.
Senior Bianca Lane had the other goal for Colfax-Mingo.
The Dodgers are back in action on Tuesday at Mason City.
