CEDAR RAPIDS — The Iowa Central men dropped a 63-49 decision to 10th-ranked (NJCAA Div. II) Kirkwood on Saturday.

The Tritons (4-15 overall) scored just 14 first-half points and couldn’t recover against the Eagles (17-3).

Jordan Fenderson led Iowa Central with a game-high 12 points off the bench, going a perfect 4-for-4 from both the field and the free throw line. Randy Latham added 10.

Daviyon Gaston grabbed nine rebounds and Miles Fant had eight. Gaston dished out three assists and had three steals as well.

The Tritons and Eagles square off again on Monday in a make-up contest inside Hodges Fieldhouse. Men’s tip is set for 7:30 p.m.
