Wagner eighth at Storm Lake

STORM LAKE — Fort Dodge’s Michael Wagner turned in a Top-10 performance at the Storm Lake Cross Country Meet on Tuesday.

Wagner, a senior for the Dodgers, crossed the tape in 17:29.95 to finish eighth.

The Dodgers placed eighth as a team. Moc-Floyd Valley was the team champion with 66 and Spirit Lake (69) was the runner up. Algona (140) was fifth.

Counting runners for the Dodgers were Shawn Roberts (35th in 18:47.44), Omarian Myers-Zimmerman (37th in 18:49.57), Cael Hansen (45th in 19:14.08) and Aiden Recker (56th in 19:51.44).

Also running for the Dodgers was Brady Major (20:13.14 for 59th) and Owen Gruver (64th in 20:56.22).

Madeline Stephan (24:57.08) was the top finisher for the Dodgers in 55th place. Also running for the Dodgers was Katie Rodamaker (69th), Dari Cook (70th), Paige Lewis (71st) and Rey Lacina (72nd).

Moc-Floyd Valley won the girls race with 70 points. Unity Christian (83) was the runner up.
