To the editor:

I would have to agree with Gov. Terry Branstad’s assessment of The Messenger during last week’s Professional Developers of Iowa fall conference.

The governor praised the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance, strong support from elected officials both city and county, along with a supportive newspaper – combined efforts growing our region. The Messenger has played a key role in communicating and sharing the positive stories of Fort Dodge’s and Webster County’s economic comeback.

As Gov. Branstad said, “The Fort Dodge Messenger is a great newspaper.” I sincerely believe, The Messenger’s fair, informative and positive economic news gathering about the region’s economic growth plans create opportunities for everyone. With that said, thank you Messenger.
