DAYTON — The 29th annual Dayton Expo will be held at the Dayton Community Center Saturday. The event will run from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., during which all manner of local businesses will be showcased. The Expo highlights local and area businesses, services, and goods.

“This event is sponsored by the Dayton Community Club,” said Kevin Diehl, an organizer of the event. “We’re inviting vendors to showcase their goods, and we have the Pork Producers coming to cook up some meat for a free will donation lunch. We are still open for more vendors.”

When speaking a little about what it looks like on his end to run an event like this, Diehl said “We have a small committee that sets things up in the background, as far as sending out the mailing list of past and possible new vendors and working with the Pork Producers. We’ve been doing this for the past twenty-some odd years. Back before it was the Dayton Vendor Expo and it was the Dayton Ag Expo.”

It is free admission with a freewill donation lunch provided by the Pork Producers and POET at noon. There will also be free popcorn. All proceeds from the Expo are to support the Dayton Community Center. The Expo will be held at the Dayton Community Center, 104 First St. N.W. in Dayton.
