EMMETSBURG — The Sixth annual Summer Bash sponsored by the St. Patrick’s Association and Emmetsburg Fire Department is TODAY and SATURDAY at the Palo Alto County Fairgrounds, Emmetsburg. Today’s events include bags tournament at 6:30 p.m. and live music by One Layne Band at 8 p.m. Saturday’s events include kids games and activities at 10 a.m., cruise in car and tractor show at 1 p.m. There will be a beverage garden and food vendors both days.

BOXHOLM — Trinity Lutheran Church, Boxholm, is holding an Ice Cream Social from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. SUNDAY at the church. Beef burgers, chips, beverages, coleslaw, desserts and homemade ice cream will be served for a freewill donation.

STRATFORD — The Swedish Immigrant Museum & Research Library will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on SATURDAY. The museum will also be offering complimentary historic photo digitization. Bring your photos to the museum and they will scan them at a high resolution and send you a link to download them at home.

In Fort Dodge

FORT DODGE — Farmers Market is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. SATURDAY in the parking lot north of Brown’s Shoe Fit, 210 S. 25th St.

FORT DODGE — Lunch on Central is 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. TODAY between the Webster County Courthouse and The Messenger. The menus is grilled pork burger or loin burger, potato chips, monster cookie and bottled water for $8.

FORT DODGE — QuadCon comic and toy show is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. SATURDAY at Fort Frenzy, 3232 First Ave. S.

FORT DODGE — Rolling Hills Community Church Vacation Bible School Registration Carnival is 6 to 7:30 p.m. SUNDAY at 2891 N. 15th St. Parents can enroll their children in VBS while the kids jumpb in “The Bouncy Thing,” play games, paint their own masterpiece and enjoy refreshments.

FORT DODGE — Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1436 21st Ave. N., is holding Rushin’ to Mt. Rushmore Car/Truck/Motorcycle Show and family friendly fun fundraiser from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. TODAY. There will be hot dogs, chips, water and lemonade served, a silent auction and carnival fun for kids, all for a freewill donation. Root beer floats will be available for purchase for $1. Entry fee is a freewill donation of which 100 percent of the proceeds will go to Lutheran Family Services of Iowa.
