What Seniors Are Saying — In step with Ella Sells

1. What programs and activities do you participate in?

I participate in both high school dance teams, United All Stars competitive dance, Acapella choir, spring musical, soccer, and ambassadors. I also do as much volunteer work as I can, like coaching soccer or participating in the elementary fun nights.

2. What academic accomplishment are you most proud of?

One big academic accomplishment I’m proud of is doing college classes while maintaining a busy schedule. It can be overwhelming trying to fit everything in, but I always pass my classes.

3. What’s your best piece of advice for younger students?

I know it sounds cliche, but try new things and get involved!

4. What is your go-to song or artist?

Anything One Direction

5. What is your favorite class or subject and why?

I really like American Literature. Mrs. Stansfield is such a great teacher and some of my closest friends are in that class.

6. What is your favorite movie?

“The Grinch.”

7. If you could have dinner with someone famous, who would it be and why?

Tom Holland. No explanation needed.

8. What are you working hardest on right now?

I’m definitely spending a lot of time at the dance studio. The month and a half leading up to state dance (Dec. 2) can get pretty intense. I’m in all three state routines and have a solo, so I’m usually at the studio at least five days a week.

9. Who is your role model in life?

My biggest role models are my parents. They have always supported me and helped lead me in the right direction. I also look up to my best friend, Reese Pederson. We have been friends since preschool and knowing her has shaped me into a better person.

10. What is your favorite memory from your time in Fort Dodge schools?

I transferred to Fort Dodge my freshman year. It was definitely a big change for me, but everyone was so welcoming. My favorite memory was making so many new friends and being given new opportunities.
