WEBSTER CITY — Kendall Young Library will hold a variety of teen events throughout the summer. Teen Lounge — Patrons entering sixth through 12th grades are invited from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This is a great time to hang out with friends and join us weekly for video games, snacks, crafts, board games, and more. The Catholic Daughters Court 216 kick-off meeting will be held on Aug. 13, at the Corpus Christi Center beginning with Mass at 6 p.m. followed by dinner, social time, and a business meeting. Open Class Horticulture Show set for this weekend in Humboldt

HUMBOLDT — An Open Class Horticulture Show will begin at 1 p.m. today and run through 5 p.m. July 26 at the Humboldt County Fairgrounds in the Polka Building. Entries are open to the public from Humboldt and surrounding counties, with the exception of professional arrangers and florists. There are two age divisions: adults and youth (16 and younger). Entries will be accepted from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. Judging begins at 1 p.m. Saturday and is open to the public to listen and learn from the judge.
