GriefShare 'Surviving the Holidays' semimar is Sunday

First Covenant Church, 201 Ave. H, is offering a free two-hour GriefShare seminar entitled “Surviving the Holidays” from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday at the church. It is designed to offer support for those who are grieving throughout the holiday season. It will consist of a video, discussion, and support for each other. All are welcome. LIVERMORE — Livermore American Legion Otto Field Post 415 is holding a breakfast fundraiser from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday in the Livermore Legion basement. The menu is pancakes, eggs, sausage and biscuits and gravy for $10 per person.

VFW holding turkey dinner on Nov. 8

VFW Post is holding a turkey dinner on Nov. 8 at the VFW, 518 S. 29th St., serving from 4:30 p.m. until gone. The menu is turkey, dressing, real mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetable, dessert and coffee. Tickets are $12 per person, dine in or carryout. Everyone is welcome.

Friends of the FDPL autumn book sale begins Monday

The Friends of the Fort Dodge Public Library autumn book sale is Monday through Nov. 8 at the Fort Dodge Public Library, 424 Central Ave. Monday is early entry night from 5 to 7 p.m. The Monday sale is open to non-members for $5. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday. There will be bag deals on Friday and Saturday.
