Southeast Valley places 4th at Greene County

JEFFERSON - The Southeast Valley boys cross country team finished fourth here Thursday at the Greene County Invitational. Denison-Schleswig was first, Perry second and the host Rams third. Leading the way for the Jaguars was Owen Nuss, as the senior placed 12th in 18:29. Griffin Vote finished 18th, August Akins was 19th and Landon Vote took 22nd for Southeast Valley. Dodger middle schoolers in action at Marshalltown

MARSHALLTOWN — The Fort Dodge Middle School cross country team competed at the Marshalltown Invitataional on Thursday. The boys were led by Myles Blunt, Eliot Naeve, Elijah Grim, Simon DeJong, and Caden Gambill. Fort Dodge was ninth as a squad. The Dodger girls were ninth behind Marie Feddersen, Cora Stephan, Trinity Scott, Maelynn Foval and Ruthie Vinson.

WATERLOO - The fourth-ranked Iowa Central volleyball team returned to ICCAC play with a straight-set sweep over Hawkeye here Tuesday night. Scores were 25-16, 25-20 and 29-27. After finishing off play at the Triton Invitational on Saturday with a win over Madison, Iowa Central (12-1 overall, 3-0 in league) made quick work of the RedTails.
