ROCKWELL CITY — The St. Edmond girls golf team came up just short vs. South Central Calhoun here Friday, falling 200-225.

Kara McGonegle earned medalist honors with a round of 46 thanks to a pair of pars on the afternoon to lead the Gaels.

Ellie Driscoll added a 51 followed by a 63 from Nora Lee. Caitlin Croonquist (65), Madison Hepperle (66) and Izabella Meyer (84) rounded out the scoring.

“I am so proud of the way the girls played,” SEHS head coach Kelsey Felch said. “Several got their season-low and some their career-low scores.

“They all played so well and I’m excited to see how the rest of the season goes.”

For the Titans, Adlen Wheelock had the low round with a 47 followed by a 49 from Charissa Nowatzke. Kyra Burns carded a 51, Mia Babcock and Sophia Wuebker each had 53s, and Kaitlyn O’Neil had a 54.

Next action for the Gaels will be Monday when they host Greene County.
