The annual MAGWED fishing tournament will be held Saturday, May 1, at Triggs Bay Resort, Linden Drive and Arnolds Park in Okoboji.

The competition begins at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday. Weigh-ins are from 4-6 p.m. on Saturday evening.

Prizes will be awarded for largest walleye, largest northern pike, and largest bass (small- or large-mouth) in both the youth and adult divisions.

Fishermen age 15 and under are eligible for the youth class.

Fish from the following lakes qualify for the contest: East and West Okoboji, Big and Little Spirit Lake, Minnewashta, and Upper Lower Gar. All walleye between 17 and 22 inches must be immediately released.

This year’s tournament is open to any and all of the public.

Every kid who turns in a fish will be entered in a contest to win a bike, and every adult who turns in a fish will be eligible in a contest for a kayak from the Outdoor Store.

Face coverings are required.
