Lincoln sweeps FDSH bowlers

DES MOINES — The Fort Dodge boys and girls bowling squads dropped decisions to Des Moines Lincoln here on Tuesday.

The Dodger boys fell, 3,070 to 2,862. The girls were defeated, 2,854-2,347.

Sophomore Kaleb Anderson fired a 246-219–465 to take individual runner-up honors. Senior Jared Jacobson (406) and sophomore Brady Graves (405) also cleared the 400 mark.

Freshman Alexis Kenney’s 337 was the lead girls score for FDSH.

“Top to bottom, we bowled well,” Dodger head coach Nick Vinson said. “Brady had a great night, and Kaleb and Jared were solid.

“Alexis did a really nice job for the girls. Lincoln was just very impressive overall. They were balanced and deep.”

The Dodger JV boys (2,553-2,087) and girls (2,029-1,687) both came up short. Christian Miller (150-140–290) led the boys; Paige Copenhaver (156-110–266) paced the girls.

Fort Dodge is back in action on Wednesday at Southeast Polk.
