Another win for Triton men

The Iowa Central men kept their win streak alive here on Saturday thanks to a second-half rally.

The Tritons (9-1 overall) won their eighth straight game after coming back from a 13-point deficit to pull out a 74-71 victory over Northeast (Neb.) in the finale of the Great Western Shootout inside Hodges Fieldhouse.

Northeast led the contest 41-33 at halftime.

Sophomore Tray Croft paced the Tritons with 20 points. Croft was 6-for-15 from the field, with all six field goals being three-pointers. He also pulled down six rebounds and had five assists.

Royshawn Webb added 14 points, and Dallas Bailey had 12. Kemryn Jenkins checked in with 10.

Iowa Central made 16 three-point baskets as a team.

Steve Wooten led Northeast with 19 points.

Northeast shot 20 free throws, while the Tritons only attempted six.

The Tritons are back in action on Friday when they compete in the Highland Classic tournament in Illinois.
