Huseman wins in Manson

MANSON — Andrew Huseman continued his strong summer play with an emphatic victory in the Manson Open men’s golf tournament this past weekend.

Huseman, a member of the Arkansas State University golf program, carded a 13-under par 95 to dominate the 27-hole event. Huseman is the son of Fort Dodge businessman Bill Huseman, and an Ankeny Centennial graduate.

The score tied Fort Dodge Senior High graduate Ryan Kinseth’s record, which was established in 2015.

Huseman also won the Lakeside Amateur earlier this month.

Tom Schill of Gowrie was second at four-under 104. Justin Kean of Ankeny (107) and Jerry Freimuth of Worthington, Minn. (108) followed.
