FD council to continue budget work

The Fort Dodge City Council will resume work on the proposed budget for 2026-2027 when it meets tonight.

The council meeting will begin at 5 p.m. in the Municipal Building, 819 First Ave. S., with a budget workshop.

At that time, the proposed budgets for the Karl L. King Municipal Band, Fort Dodge Public Library, Visit Fort Dodge and the Recreation Department will be reviewed.

The council’s regular business meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the Municipal Building. The council has a light agenda for that meeting, which includes a public hearing on plans for a major repair job on the bridge over a drainage ditch in the 3300 block of Fifth Avenue South, paying monthly bills and scheduling some future public hearings.

Starting at $4.94/week.
