DSM, FD men wanted for December FD homicide

Two men are wanted on felony warrants related to the Dec. 25, 2022, death of 46-year-old Montreail Dungy.

The Fort Dodge Police Department is seeking out Lakendrick A. Mosley, 31, of Des Moines, formerly of Fort Dodge, and Darwin L. Green, 27, of Fort Dodge.

Mosley is wanted on a first-degree murder warrant, and Green is wanted for aiding and abetting first-degree murder. Both are Class A felonies.

Mosley is a Black man, 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs 145 pounds. Green is a Black man, 6 feet tall and weighs 199 pounds.

Anyone who knows Mosley or Green’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact law enforcement immediately by calling the Webster County Law Enforcement Center at 515-573-2323.

Dungy was shot in the early morning hours on Christmas Day in the 1000 block of 10th Avenue Southwest in Fort Dodge. He was pronounced dead at the scene and FDPD began investigating the death as a homicide.

A few days later, Webster County Crime Stoppers announced a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of a suspect in Dungy’s murder. Tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers by calling 515-573-1444 or by texting “LEC” and the tip to 274-637.

The investigation is still ongoing, according to the FDPD. The department is being assisted by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, the DCI Criminalistics Laboratory, the Webster County Sheriff’s Office, the Fort Dodge Fire Department, the Iowa Department of Correctional Services and the Webster County Attorney’s office.
