Parade marshal Ron Newsum was honored posthumously with the traditional empty saddle and backwards boots tribute during the annual Frontier Days Parade Saturday in downtown Fort Dodge. Newsum, who was the founder of the Brushy Creek Area Honor Flight, died in January.
