What do you teach?

Vocal music at Fort Dodge Senior High

What do you consider your greatest accomplishment during the time you have been at your school?

Seeing students who graduate continue to sing in college/after high school. I love being a part of fostering/feeding their love and passion for singing that they would continue to sing after leaving FDSH. Since being at FDSH, I have had students that have gone on to sing at U of Iowa, UNI, ISU, Luther College, Wartburg College, Morningside, Drake, Iowa Central Community College, Simpson College, Milikin University and the University of Michigan.

How do you want your students to remember you?

I would like my students to remember that I was kind, respectful and helped them to feel welcome in my room. I hope students can look back and remember that I helped build/foster a passion for singing by sharing mine with them.

What is one thing people might not know about you?

I have always been a big sports fan. Growing up I loved to play many different sports and have always loved following and watching sports. I am a big Hawkeyes and Chicago Cubs fan. I also loved to play and watch golf.
