K-4 music at Feelhaver and Cooper Elementary schools

What interested you about your position at your school and teaching students doing the arts?

I like being able to see all age groups (K-4) at my buildings. I like seeing them start out with limited knowledge of music and watch them grow into fourth-graders with lots of knowledge of music.

What do you consider your greatest accomplishment during the time you have been at your school?

I take it as a personal goal to know all 500-plus students by name.

How do you want your students to remember you?

I want my students to remember me and my classroom as a fun, kind and musical space.

What is one thing people might not know about you?

I do not like to drink soda pop.
