Faith-based summer program offered at CCS

Community Christian School and Little Crusaders Daycare in Fort Dodge are offering a faith-based summer program for ages kindergarten and up. The program will be 5:45 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. You do not need to be a Community Christian School student to attend. There is a two-day minimum participation. The summer program will focus on academically centered activities and play. Meals will be provided.

Enrollment for 2019-20 school year is open at Community Christian School

Enrollment is open at Community Christian School for the 2019-20 school year for preschool and grades kindergarten through eighth grade. Registrations for the fall are being accepted. CCS provides an educational option in Fort Dodge and the surrounding counties for a Christian education that is not tied to a specific church denomination. St. Paul Lutheran School will hold Kindergarten Roundup on Thursday, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Parents and prospective kindergarten children may attend. Parents and students are invited to come to the fellowship hall of St. Paul Lutheran Church, 400 S. 13th St., at 5:30 p.m. to begin with a meal provided by the Parent Teacher Booster organization. Fort Dodge Choral Society offers music scholarships

The Fort Dodge Choral Society will be awarding $1,000 vocal music scholarships for the 2019-20 school year. Applicants must be college students majoring in vocal music performance or education with a sophomore, junior, or senior status at the beginning of the award year. Students attending an Iowa college or university and graduates of the Fort Dodge area attending any college or university are eligible to apply. St. Ed to host Kindergarten Connection

St. Edmond Catholic School will be hosting Kindergarten Connection on Wednesday, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. This is a rescheduled date due to a weather cancelation. Kindergarten Connection is an opportunity to learn more about what St. Edmond has to offer, with all families invited to attend with their future kindergartner.
