Badger Lions Club pancake breakfast is Sunday

BADGER — The Badger Lions Club pancake breakfast is 8 a.m. to noon Sunday at the Badger Fire Station, Badger. The menu is all the pancakes you can eat plus sausage, eggs, orange juice, milk or coffee for a freewill donation. Net profit will support community and Lions’ projects. Those attending are encouraged to bring used eyeglasses and hearing aids for the Lions to recycle.

FDPL adult coloring Tuesday

Fort Dodge Public Library, 424 Central Ave., will hold adult coloring sessions from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the library’s large meeting room. Coloring sheets and coloring utensils will be available. If you are a long-time coloring fan or prefer to use your own supplies, feel free to bring them along and enjoy the company. Webster County Conservation trick or treat is today

Webster County Conservation is holding trick or treat from 4 to 6 p.m. today at John F. Kennedy Memorial Park Campground, 1415 Nelson Ave., and Gypsum City OHV Campground, 2390 Mill Road. Dress in your favorite costume and walk the campgrounds for trick or treating.

Daybreak Rotary chili supper is today

The Daybreak Rotary bowl of chili and jumbo cinnamon roll supper is 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church, 1111 Fifth Ave. N. The supper is drive through only. Tickets are $10 per person. Call Letitia at 515-570-8936 for tickets.

Ancient Technologies Day is Oct. 18

Webster County Conservation is holding an Ancient Technologies Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at the Matt Cosgrove River’s Edge Discovery Center, 20 N. First St. How did people do things back in the day? This event will have demonstrations and hands-on archeology fun. There will be flint knapping, atlatl dart throwing, clay pot making, basket weaving, loom weaving, hide scraping, historic children’s games, papermaking and guest speakers. The event is free and open to the public.
