LEHIGH — Lehigh Methodist Church, Lehigh, is holding a Lord’s portion dinner and bake sale from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the church. The menu is Swiss steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn or beans, salad, pie, fresh baked roll and a drink. Tickets are $13 for adults, $7 for children ages 9 and under, and free for children ages 4 and under. Carryouts will be available by calling 515-359-2329.
An election day supper will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 4, at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 1611 Williams Drive. The menu is homemade vegetable beef and chicken noodle soups, chili, bread, dessert (gluten free available) and beverage. Tickets are $10 per person with children ages 4 and under free. LIVERMORE — Livermore 1879 Project second annual haunted forest is 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. today at the Livermore Swimming Pool Park, 201 Ninth Ave., Livermore. There will be family fun for all ages in the shelter house, along with kids clothing, hot chocolate and cookies. Admission is freewill donation to benefit the Livermore community.
