Fort Dodge Women’s Connection brunch set for Oct. 14, RSVP requested

Fort Dodge Women’s Connection will meet at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 14, at Tea Thyme, 2021 Sixth Ave. S. Her talk is entitled, “No Fear, Well Most of the Time.” The special feature will be Landra Carroll, board member and cast member of The Comedia Musica Players. Catholic Choral Festival is Wednesday

St. Edmond Catholic School, 2321 Sixth Ave. N., is hosting the Catholic Choral Festival at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the school varsity gym. Participating schools and directors are Carroll Kuemper, directed by Jeff Wicker; Algona Bishop Garrigan, directed by Abigail Mathahs; Sioux City Bishop Heelan, directed by Gage Fenton; LeMars Gehlen Catholic, directed by Gerrit Nieuwendorp; and Fort Dodge Saint Edmond, directed by Melissa Hindt. Admission is $3 per person.

Manson Meridians seek new and returning singers for 54th season; Rehearsals set to begin Oct. 16

MANSON — The Manson Meridian Singers are preparing for its 54th season, and would like to invite any and all who love to sing to join them on this year’s musical journey. Rehearsals will begin at 7 p.m. Oct. 16, in the choir room at Manson Northwest Webster High School, 1601 15th St. All parts — soprano, alto, tenor and bass — are welcome. No tryouts are required to join. Andrea Christians, of Pocahontas, is in her fourth year as director, with Trish Mernka, of Rockwell City, serving as accompanist. Holy Trinity spaghetti dinner is Oct. 19

Holy Trinity Parish spaghetti dinner is 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 19, at the Corpus Christi Center, 403 N. Eighth St. The meal includes spaghetti and meatballs, salad, bread, beverage and dessert. Carryout is available, beverage not included. Tickets are $12 for adults, $6 for children ages 5 to 11 and free for children ages 4 and under.

Daybreak Rotary chili supper is Oct. 11
