Fall Fly-In is today

Fort Dodge Flight Support is holding its Fall Fly-In from 8 a.m. to noon today at the Fort Dodge Regional Airport, 1639 Nelson Ave. The event is open to the public. There will be an all you can eat pancake breakfast with a drink for $10 per person, pilots-in command eat free. Plane rides will be $20. Proceeds go to the Brushy Creek Area Honor Flight.

Livermore haunted forest is Oct. 25

LIVERMORE — Livermore 1879 Project second annual haunted forest is 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 25 at the Livermore Swimming Pool Park, 201 Ninth Ave., Livermore. There will be family fun for all ages in the shelter house, along with kids clothing, hot chocolate and cookies. Admission is freewill donation to benefit the Livermore community.

Ancient Technologies Day is today

Webster County Conservation is holding an Ancient Technologies Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at the Matt Cosgrove River’s Edge Discovery Center, 20 N. First St. How did people do things back in the day? This event will have demonstrations and hands-on archeology fun. There will be flint knapping, atlatl dart throwing, clay pot making, basket weaving, loom weaving, hide scraping, historic children’s games, papermaking and guest speakers. The event is free and open to the public.

Garden Club to meet Tuesday

The Fort Dodge Federated Garden Club meeting is 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Lion’s Den, 731 Exposition Drive. The Southeast Valley School will do a presentation on its new “Greenhouse” adventures. Come and listen to all the plans for the greenhouse. Bev Longnecker will give a report on one of her hobbies. Visitors are welcome.
