The Blanden Memorial Art Museum, 920 Third Ave. S, is holding its holiday open house from 5 to 7 p.m. on Dec. 13. There will be art, music and community. Jacob Pedersen will perform at 5 p.m. and Amy Champagne will perform at 6 p.m.
The Christmas Market at the Fort Museum Trading Post, 1 Museum Road, is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday through Dec. 23.
Webster County Conservation is holding Coffee and Conservation at 10 a.m. Dec. 13 at the Matt Cosgrove River’s Edge Discovery Center, 20 N. First St. Each month there will be an informal discussion about a variety of conservation/recreation topics in Webster County. Coffee and light snacks will be provided. The topic is wintering birds. Learn all about Iowa’s wintering birds, setting up wintering bird stations for success and the importance of food plots.
CALLENDER — Women of the Word at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, Callender, are holding its annual Christmas fair from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today in the church fellowship hall. There will be a bake sale, lefse sale and lunch. Beef burgers or chicken salad in a Krumkake bowl with salads, cookies and Scandinavian pastries will be served for $10. The fellowship hall is handicap accessible through the north or south doors.
The St. Edmond craft and vendor show is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at St. Edmond High School, 2220 Fourth Ave. N. There will be over 100 vendors and handmade crafters from all over the state of Iowa showcasing an array of items including baked goods, candies, holiday decor, boutiques, antiques and clothing. Door prizes, pictures with Santa and gift wrapping will be available. A full concession stand serving breakfast, lunch, drinks and snacks will be open. There will also be a bake sale and hot chocolate bar. Admission is $5.
The Fort Dodge Public Library, 424 Central Ave., is holding holiday extravaganza Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today, Dec. 13 and Dec. 20 at the library. Children may write letters to Santa for the Santa mailbox, do dot coloring and get a goodie bag while supplies last. All month long there will be the guessing jar and searching for Santa.
