The Fort Dodge Chili Lovers’ Society 44th annual Chili Cookoff will be held from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m at the Fort Museum, 1 Museum Road. Judges taste test will be held at 1 p.m. and winners announced at 3 p.m. Public tasting will be held from 1:30 to 4 p.m. The cost is $5 for a sample cup to try all chilis.

Ron and Dawn Vought, of Fort Dodge, will celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary on Friday. Cards may be sent to them at 1927 Fourth Ave. S., Fort Dodge, IA 50501. They were married on Oct. 23, 1981, at First Assembly of God Church in Fort Dodge. Their family included one son, Christopher, who passed away in 2010.
