Kendall Young closures scheduled

WEBSTER CITY — Kendall Young Library will be closed on July 3 and 4 for the 4th of July holiday. On July 21, the library will close at 4:30 p.m. for the Hamilton County Fair Parade.

The Kossuth County Genealogical Society and the Algona Affiliate of AAUW will be hosting their 14th annual cemetery walk during Founders’ Day weekend in Algona, July 9-12. A graveside presentation will take place beginning at 6 p.m. on July 9 at Riverview Cemetery. The main gate of the cemetery is at the north end of Phillips Street in Algona. Audience members are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring their own lawn chairs. St. Olaf to hold VBS

St. Olaf Lutheran Church, 239 N. 11th St., will hold vacation Bible school from 9 a.m. to noon July 14-17 for ages 6 to 12 years old. The theme is “Lego and Trust God.” There will be an Option Fellowship Camp until 3 p.m. on July 14 and 16. Lunch will be provided to those staying. June 17 will end at 12 p.m. with a block party. Family members are invited to attend. The cost is by freewill donation.
