Adult coloring at Fort Dodge Public Library

Celebrate May and all its sunshiny goodness with adult coloring at FDPL. Join us for our next sessions on Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the large meeting room and again from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the lobby conference room. We provide hundreds of coloring sheets and a variety of supplies for you to use. Coloring enthusiasts are also welcome to bring their own materials and projects to enjoy a relaxing, creative atmosphere with others. WEBSTER CITY — Kendall Young Library will be having a variety of teen events throughout May. Teen Lounge — Patrons in sixth through 12th grades are invited from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays. Federated Garden Club to hold sale

The plant and garden sale hosted by the Fort Dodge Federated Garden Club will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, unless sold out earlier, at the Fort Dodge Lions Den, 731 Expo Drive. The sale will include annuals, perennials, herbs, and vegetables, plus garden-related books, magazines, and tools. In addition, there will be canning jars (some blue), garden art, and garden-themed puzzles and decor.

‘Retracing the Dragoon Trail Book’ talk set for May 12 at FD Public Library

Kevin Mason will be at the Fort Dodge Public Library, 424 Central Ave., to discuss his new book “Retracing the Dragoon Trail in Iowa” at 6 p.m. on May 12. In his book, Mason traces Iowa’s transformation from prairies and wetlands to farms, towns, and transportation networks, beginning with the 1835 expedition of the First U.S. Dragoons.
