KYL children’s events scheduled

WEBSTER CITY — Kendall Young Library will be having story/activity programs for all ages throughout July.

Children’s Summer Reading Program — Patrons, birth to fifth grade, are invited to join in a variety of “Plant a Seed, Read” summer programs. There are reading challenges, adventure maps, and great programs each week. Details and resources to participate are available at the Children’s Checkout Desk.

Children’s Special Events

Tuesday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. — Join us for Friends from the Farm, as Hamilton County 4-H will bring in some fuzzy friends during our Wild Things Program. This special event is open to patrons entering TK through fifth grade.

Tuesday, 5 to 8 p.m. — Family Pool Party at the Webster City outdoor pool — free event for the whole family

Thursday, 1:30-3:30 p.m. — Patrons are invited to play the BIG GAMES in the Teen Area. Anyone 8 years and older or with an adult can stop in an enjoy the fun.

July 16, 5:30-7:30 p.m. — Family Foam Party at Webster City Market Night, sponsored by Kendall Young Library

Aug. 4, 10:00-11:30 p.m. — Patrons are invited to watch the movie “Hoppers” in the Teen Area. Anyone 8 years and older or with an adult can stop in an enjoy the fun.

Aug. 6, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. — Family Foam Party at Webster City Market Night, sponsored by Kendall Young Library

Aug. 11, 10 to 11:30 a.m. — Patrons are invited to play the BIG GAMES in the Teen Area. Anyone 8 years and older or with an adult can stop in an enjoy the fun.

Children’s Weekly Programs

Wild Things (entering TK through second grade) will meet from 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Tuesday and July 14.

Fuzzy Ducklings (under 3 years) will meet on Wednesday and July 15th from 10:30-11:30 a.m..

Hungry Caterpillars (3- and 4-year-old preschool)) will meet from 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Thursday and July 16.

Tweens (entering third through fifth grades) will meet from 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Friday and July 17.
