FONDA — The Fonda Arts Center will host a fundraiser and food drive from 1 to 4 p.m. on Oct. 11. This event, co-sponsored by MAGS 4 Fonda, will feature Classic Country Music performed by Dan Keen of Newell, and Gloria and Randy Mobley and Larry Heschke of Fonda. Music will start at 2 p.m. Food donations should be non-perishable items, and monetary donations are also appreciated. All this is happening on the northwest corner of Fourth and Main in Fonda, where admission is free and refreshments complimentary.
The Friends of the Fort Dodge Library announce this fall’s installment of the Brown Bag Briefings. They are held at noon every Thursday, beginning Oct. 8, in the meeting room of the Fort Dodge Library, 424 Central Ave. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lunch.
