WEBSTER CITY — Kendall Young Library will hold a variety of teen events throughout the summer. Teen Summer Reading Program — Patrons entering sixth through 12th grades are invited to join in a variety of “Plant a seed, Read” summer programs. Voices from the Past

The Kossuth County Genealogical Society and the Algona Affiliate of AAUW will be hosting their 14th annual cemetery walk, Voices from the Past, during Founders’ Day weekend in Algona, July 9-12. A graveside presentation will take place beginning at 6 p.m. on July 9 at Riverview Cemetery. The main gate of the cemetery is at the north end of Phillips Street in Algona. Audience members are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring their own lawn chairs. Safe Mushroom Workshop is Thursday

Iowans are invited to learn about safe mushroom foraging on Thursday at Camp Wa No Ki in Fort Dodge. The three-hour long workshop is sponsored by Iowa State University Extension, Webster County Extension, and Webster County Conservation.Registration is needed by Tuesday go.iastate.edu/OFCM0V. Webster County Fair Open Photography Photos wanted

Call for photography entries The Webster County Fair will offer an open photography class once again this year giving the public the opportunity to showcase their work as well as receive feedback through judging. Entries will be accepted beginning Tuesday through July 2 at the Webster County Extension office located at 822 Central Ave. Suite 102 (in the Wells Fargo building) in Fort Dodge. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and Friday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday. There are two divisions for entry: youth and adult/senior.
