Webster County Fair Open Quilt Show Entries wanted

Again at the Webster County Fair, is the Open Quilt Show. Enter your quilts and showcase your talent. Entry fee is $2, which will be collected at Tillie’s Quilts, 17 S. 12th St. in Fort Dodge with your entry, by 4 p.m. on Friday. Judging will be done prior to the fair and ribbons will be awarded. All entries will be on display during the fair July 15 to 19.

Bring in your pressure canner gauges to be tested

Are you growing a garden and want to preserve the bounty of your harvest? Do you have a dial pressure canner and need it tested? Pressure canners with dial gauges can be checked for accuracy and safety at the Webster County Extension Office, 822 Central Ave., Suite 102, (Wells Fargo building main floor) Fort Dodge any time between 8 a.m. to noon or can be left to be picked up at your convenience. WCCT Presents Disney’s ‘The Little Mermaid Jr.’

WEBSTER CITY — Webster City Community Theatre invites audiences to journey beneath the waves this June as nearly 40 area children bring “Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr.” to life on the WCCT stage. Based on the beloved Disney classic, the production follows Ariel, a curious young mermaid who dreams of exploring the world above the sea. Car show at Good Shepherd on Friday

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1436 21st Ave. N., will hold its annual car show from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cars, trucks and motorcycles welcome. There will be door prizes and trophies awarded. Freewill donation to enter. Free hot dog, chips and a drink will be provided. Ice cream floats will be for sale. Proceeds will be donated to Lutheran Family Service of Iowa.
