The Kossuth County Genealogical Society and the Algona Affiliate of AAUW will be hosting their 14th annual cemetery walk, Voices from the Past, during Founders’ Day weekend in Algona, July 9-12. A graveside presentation will take place beginning at 6 p.m. on July 9 at Riverview Cemetery. The main gate of the cemetery is at the north end of Phillips Street in Algona. Audience members are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring their own lawn chairs.

An indoor version will be presented at 2 p.m. on July 12 at the Tietz Entrepreneurial Center meeting room on the Algona campus of Iowa Lakes Community College, 2111 Highway 169 North in Algona. Enter under the blue canopy on the south side. This venue is handicapped accessible, air-conditioned and bug free.

The public is invited to attend. There is no admission charge for either presentation.
