SIOUX CITY — The Iowa Central women’s soccer squad put a complete match together here on Saturday in a 4-0 rout of Western Iowa Tech. Rebekah Gramer tallied two early goals for the Tritons (6-4 overall). Triton men blank Western Iowa Tech

SIOUX CITY — A second-half goal by Pablo Lopez Mari allowed the Iowa Central men’s soccer squad to escape Western Iowa Tech on the road Saturday, 1-0. Marcus Aberg had the assist on the Lopez Mari score, which came in the 70th minute. Keeper Lautaro Real did the rest for the Tritons (7-2 overall, 3-0 in the ICCAC), who won their sixth consecutive match and pitched their third straight shutout. Iowa Central has allowed only one goal during its streak. The Comets fell to 6-4-1 on the season with the loss.

No. 4 Iowa Central wins again

BOONE — The No. 4 Iowa Central volleyball team closed out play here Saturday at the DMACC Invitational with a victory over Highland. Scores were 21-25, 25-18, 25-22 and 25-5 in favor of the Tritons (21-2). Cooper Griffin and Kampbell Bryte each had 11 kills, with Clara Newton adding 10 and Madison Rogers nine. Annie Elbert recorded 42 assists and 17 digs, Meah McCaleb had 27 digs and Abby Jensen 14. The Tritons return home for ICCAC play on Tuesday vs. Iowa Lakes at 6 p.m.
