‘The future is so bright you’ve just gotta wear shades’

To the editor:

The last one out please shut off the lights. Those days were long ago. Deb and I are selling our house and moving closer to our grandkids which seems to happen a lot lately. But we wanted to say “Thank You” to a lot of people who have been a part of our lives in Fort Dodge and the surrounding area. I want to say thanks to all of the Centralab Globe Union people who welcomed us into the community.

I want to say thanks to the people of Trinity Regional Hospital and Trimark Group for my great time spent there. We want to thank the great people of Carpet World Flooring America for the past 16 years that have meant so much to us and to our family.

I want to thank the boards that I”ve worked on over the years. The YMCA board, the Parks and Rec Commission, The Community Health Center and most particularly, the great loving people of Saint Olaf Lutheran Church. We also want to thank the inspirational Sonshine Singers. Also the talented people of Comedia Musica.

I also want to thank the teachers and coaches of Senior High who I have worked closely with and my children all have tremendous memories of their time there. We want to thank our wonderful friends and neighbors who have been so close to us.

There’s a last time for everything. This is not where this ends.

We look around Dodge and all we can say is … The future is so bright you’ve just gotta wear shades.

Thank you so much.
