Good Shepherd raises funds for Linking Families and Communities

Every March, the Rev. Nicholas Thackery and the men of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church host Ladies Night Out, a night dedicated to preparing and serving a meal to the women of the congregation and their guests. During this event, the Good Shepherd Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) collect funds and/or items to be donated to local charities. This year, monetary donations were collected to support Linking Families and Communities in their efforts to turn the old Becker Florist building located on Kenyon Road into a much-needed childcare center. A total of $1,310 was raised that evening and then was matched by the LWML. A check in the amount of $2,620 was presented to Linking Families and Communities at the LMWL Spring Rally held on April 20.
