Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, December 7, 2023, at the Gunderson Funeral Chapel. Interment will be held in North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Sandra Kay Jorgensen, the youngest child of Lincoln and Eva (Carter) Jorgensen, was born in Clarion, Iowa, on December 18, 1945. She attended Fort Dodge Senior High. On February 9, 1963, she married James Cayler. While Jim served in the U.S. Army the couple lived for a short time in Virginia and later moved back to Fort Dodge to raise their family. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening, restoring furniture and doing puzzles.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years Jim Cayler, her children; Cari (Lenny) Wiemann of Fort Dodge, Chad (Venessa) Cayler of Farnhamville and Chris Cayler of Albuquerque, New Mexico; her brother Wally Jorgensen of Spirit Lake, many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings Jerry Jorgensen and Pauline Rier.
