DARRELL L. BECKER

Private Graveside services will be held at North Lawn Cemetery. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family.

Darrell is survived by his wife, Viola; sons, Kevin (Penny) Becker; Kent Becker both of Fort Dodge; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Marie (Forsberg) Becker and sister, Verda Mae Cottinger

Darrell was born October 7, 1927 in Stanhope, Iowa. He was raised and educated in Stanhope, graduating from Stanhope High School in 1945. After graduation he served in United States Navy from 1945-1947. On May 9, 1947, Darrell was united in marriage to Viola Stroschoen. The couple made Fort Dodge their home. Darrell worked various jobs including, Pan O’ Gold Bakery, JC Penny’s Automotive Center and then Expo Health Center until his retirement in 1992. For many years Darrell and Vi operated and owned “Grandpa’s Crafts”. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
