WEBSTER CITY — The Van Diest Medical Center Board of Trustees has announced the appointment of Webster City resident, Taylor Peterson, as the newest member to the board.

Peterson is filling the remainder of a term left open with the recent resignation of board member Justin Deppe. The appointment came following an interview and selection process conducted over the past few weeks by the nominating committee of the Board of Trustees.

A native of Johnston, Peterson graduated from Johnston High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Iowa State University in 2013. She moved to Webster City in May 2014 and began employment at First State Bank, working in accounting services and as assistant cashier.

Peterson will begin in her new role as VDMC Board Member effective immediately and will continue to serve in the position through the completion of the term ending Dec.31, 2020.
