Scam prevention session coming to Fort Dodge
The Stop the Scammers roadshow will visit Fort Dodge Wednesday.
State Insurance Commissioner Doug Ommen and a representative of state Attorney General Brenna Bird will lead this session, which will help people learn how to avoid getting scammed.
It will begin at noon Wednesday in Citizen’s Central, 617 Central Ave.
This educational seminar is a collaboration between the Iowa Department of Insurance and Financial Services, the office of the Iowa Attorney General and AARP Iowa.
During the seminar people will learn about scams that are present in communities throughout the state and ways they can protect themselves from them.
