City works to retain animal control service
Fort Dodge officials are moving quickly to ensure that there is no lapse in animal control services in the city. The City Council on Monday will consider an interim agreement that will keep Webster County Animal Protection on the job through June, with the goal of having a new contract in place on July 1. This move became necessary when it became apparent Tuesday that a contract between the company and the Webster County Board of Supervisors, which covered the city as well, would not be renewed.
