Every penny counts, every patient matters will again be the guiding principle when motorcyclists and others hit the road Saturday to raise some money to help those suffering from breast cancer.
The 17th annual Angel Ride to Save the Tatas will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at Amigo’s, 280 N. First St. From there, participants will travel to six other area establishments before returning to Amigo’s in the evening.
The cost to participate is $20 per person.
Over its first 16 years, the Angel Ride has raised $374,201.99, according to organizers.
Last year, it generated $24,907.02.
Money raised by the ride helps to pay for medical expenses not covered by insurance, travel, and things like wigs and scarves.
“In our local communities, the support the Angel Ride provides makes a profound and positive difference in the lives of those living with breast cancer,” said Alli Berger, one of the organizers of the ride.
Those wanting to go on the ride must register at Amigo’s between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. before hitting the road.
The stops on the ride are Stumpy’s in Duncombe, Grid Iron Grill & Sports Bar in Webster City, Shorty’s D’town Lounge in Dows, Chappy’s on Main in Clarion, Nine & Dine in Eagle Grove and KnuckleHeads Bar & Grill in Badger.
