Gibb resigns at St. Edmond

School leader had been on leave

Mary Gibb has resigned as president of St. Edmond Catholic School, school leaders announced Tuesday.

It was revealed on Feb. 15 that she was on a leave of absence. She had apparently been on leave since that time.

Gibb resigned to “seek other professional opportunities,” according to a statement issued by Kate Stucky, the director of operations for the school and Holy Trinity Catholic Parish.

She had been the president of the school since 2013. And at the beginning of the 2022-2023 academic year she became principal of the high school.

“St. Edmond Catholic School recognizes Mrs. Gibb’s work and dedication to the mission of the school and wishes her all the best in her future endeavors, ” Stucky wrote in the announcement.”Mrs, Gibb thanks the entire St. Edmond community for all the support throughout the years.”

An interim president has not been named. Plans for replacing Gibb have not been announced.

When Gibb went on leave in February, the St. Edmond school board indicated that Tabitha Acree, the elementary and middle school principal, and David Flattery, the athletic director, would be handling school matters.

Starting at $4.94/week.
